===Archery Champion===
Twas early in the morning when the archers made their way to the range for the Tir Righ
Prinicipality Championship. Lions Gate was well represented with eight of the eleven
archers competing being from Lions Gate.
The first competition was an Inter-Kingdom Archery Competition (IKAC). This presented a
twist as the IKAC has four different bow classes (Open, Crossbow, Period handbow, Period
crossbow) and all bow classes were represented. This meant that there were four first
place finishers in this round which I believe were Fiona (Open), David (Crossbow), Thomas
Lackland of Appledore (Period handbow), and Margaret Hamilton (Period Crossbow).
The second competition was an advancing man shoot with the archers behind the wall.
The targets were set at 40, 30, and 20 (or around there) and archers had 15 seconds at
each target before having to change. While this was designed to hinder the crossbow
shooters, they took the first three spots with David leading the way.
Unfortunately, Cyneric Bearson had to leave the competition at this point to fight in the
Squire's Tourney.
The final competition was a wand shoot at 40 yards. Only David and Fiona were able to hit
the wand giving David the championship and Fiona was the bridesmaid once again.
Congratulations to David of Tiriane. Huzzah!
And, to Fiona, being the second best archer in Tir Righ still means that you are one
fantastic archer. Huzzah!
I will let Kenneth fill in any missing or incorrect details.

To the archers of Tir Righ,
Greetings from your former Archery Champion.
My congratulations go out to David of Tiriane for the awesome display that he put on to become our newest archery champion and also my thanks for not being in last years competition. I am sure that he will be a fine champion and I am looking forward to next years competition, which I am told will be evil.
I want to thank the archers who were in the competition for their calm acceptance of our technical problems and for their being there to shoot in the competition. There were 12 competitors and 9 were from Lions Gate.
My congratulations to Fiona for once again placing second. In a field with 2 grey geese and a ludicrous bowman you did exceptionally well. Keep trying. Just ask our new Tanist, Sir Owain, about finishing second.
I would like to thank the archers for the help that they gave in range setup and changes, spotting for others and helping with the line. You made my life much easier.
In the IKAC, the first place finishers were David Margaret, Anika, And Fiona. The second place finishers were James, Mikhail, Cyneric, and Thomas. At the end of the second competition Mikhail was in second place but he was dropped back when David and Fiona were the only two archers who hit the target in the third competition.
Special thanks also go to our prince and princess and to the autocrat for their work on the timing of the competition. This allowed for some to compete who have not been able to before. All in all, it was a wonderful shoot.
In service
Kenneth of Shaftesbury
EX archery champion of Tir Righ

To the archers of Tir Righ,

Greetings from your former Archery Champion. My congratulations go out to David of Tiriane for the awesome display that he put on to become our newest archery champion and also my thanks for not being in last years competition.
