Ursalmas 2025 (59)

Gate: Worked gate in conjunction with The Barony of Aquaterra. Tear down: Assisted in the teardown of Gate Tables and the tear down of one of the attractions, The traveling Shakespeare group.

Gift: A gift for Their Majesties of An Tir, a poem written just for them with a painted border in green, purple, yellow, and white gouache paint. Reign of: Queen Ana de la Sara and King Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov.

Docenting: I spent much time wandering around, seeking out the Moderns, asking if they were having fun, and answering questions.

General Care of Others: I patched up a fighter who got injured on the tourney field, and spent much time wandering the merchant hall, asking the merchants if they needed things retrieved and generally checking on their well-being.

Fresh-Blood Potential: My partner, Adhemar Vauquelin, and I brought a new person to the event. He seemed engaged, had fun, and expressed interest in Heavy Fighting. On loan, he was wearing a cloak, a tunic, a belt, and a belt pouch to better blend in with the SCAdians.

Candlemas 2025 (59)

Bardic Circle: I performed in the Open Bardic with a reading of my original Poem, Candelmas, for the event. After I was given a formal Bardic intro, and offered the floor to read to the populace. I was requested to read the poem a third time during the Feast as entertainment for the populace by Their Excellencies of Blatha An Oir.

Set Up/Tear Down: I helped set up and assemble the coronet chairs of Blatha An Oir as soon as they arrived on site, I also assisted with taking them apart at the end of the night. I stayed extra and helped take down tables and chairs, cleared dishes, and helped ensure people were packed up safely.

Dance Class: I attended and participated in the event’s dance class, and it was super fun. I do need to be mindful of how much I dance, but at least it was fun.

Donation: A bag of yarn was brought to the event with the intent of letting people pick free yarn out of the bag during the day, it was forgotten about and left on site. It ended up as a donation to The Barony of Dragon’s Lair as a gift to their Populace, and YAFA.
