Jacomina van Vossenbrouck lives her adult life around 1530 in Delft, a town in the Habsburg ruled Low Countries. Growing up under the rule of Margaret of Austria, regent of the Low Countries for Charles V, she experienced first hand what a strong female ruler can accomplish. Married to the son of a rich Italian cloth and fine wares merchant, she is reasonably well off, and well educated. She occasionally travels around Europe with her husband, and has the opportunity to study with foreign tutors and learn about other cultures. She is particularly enamoured with Italian fashion styles, a passion encouraged by her husband, and together they enjoy welcoming a range of interesting people into their midst to engage in stimulating conversations and musical or artistic displays. When back in Delft, she values the simplicity of Dutch life and the simple pleasures it can bring.<br><br>
On the warfield, Jacomina portrays a circa 2nd century AD Sarmatian persona. She combines her fight garb with Roman elements, since a contingent of Sarmatian fighters were mercenaries to the Roman army. Sarmatians were also known to include female fighters in their midst, especially archers, who were just as feared as their male counterparts. Whilst a mercenary for Rome, this persona met her partner, and together they fight for the glory of gold and Crown. <br>
