The feast and food, although marvelous, are not all there is to this event! Other enjoyable activities during the day of the banquet include social dancing with Master Trahaearn in the early afternoon, an open scribal table, Baronial Processional and Court before the feast (around 4:00), and Royal Court after the feast (around 7:30). We would be delighted if you chose to attend the event even if feast tickets do not become available.

The site fee for folks not joining us for dinner is $5.00 per member 13-and over, and need not be paid in advance.

For all folks planning to attend, with or without tickets, please know the following:

Greetings unto Madronians and Friends,
* The site opens at 10:00 am, however if you don't want to be put to work, you are invited to arrive around 1:00 pm.  We must be out of the building by 10:00 pm.

* Volunteers are still needed, especially servers.  You are welcome to simply arrive and help, especially in the kitchen.  If you prefer a scheduled activity, please write to me if you wish to serve the feast or help at gate, or to dishwashing chief [[Catrin of Llanbadarn]].  Feedback from past years has been that volunteering at Baronial Banquet is actually really fun!

Event Highlights

Greetings unto Madronians and Friends,

The time for Baronial Banquet approaches!

Feast tickets are, at this time, sold out.

If you have purchased or reserved a ticket that you do not need, please let me know as soon as possible so folks on the waiting list can make plans to dine with us.

If you do not yet have tickets, but would like to be on the waiting list, you may write to me as well. Feast tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

We will have a separate room on site open for off-board seating. In addition there are many restaurants nearby.

  • The site opens at 10:00 am, however if you don't want to be put to work, you are invited to arrive around 1:00 pm. We must be out of the building by 10:00 pm.
  • Volunteers are still needed, especially servers. You are welcome to simply arrive and help, especially in the kitchen. If you prefer a scheduled activity, please write to me if you wish to serve the feast or help at gate, or to dishwashing chief Catrin of Llanbadarn. • As we are planning a formal processional before Baronial Court, if your awards are not already correct in the Kingdom and Baronial OP it would be helpful to bring a list of those awards and when they were presented.
  • Baronial Banquet this year will again be an opportunity to affirm vows of service and fealty if you so choose.

Officers of the barony should be prepared to affirm their vows of service. The Baronesses Guard (Sergeants, Gallants and Yeomen) should be prepared to affirm their vows of fealty. Members of the court and the general populace will be given an opportunity to affirm vows of service or fealty if they so choose.

Please contact the herald Christopher Thomas (nomad@castle.org) or their Excellencies if you have questions or wish to review the text of these oaths beforehand.

Their Excellencies take these oaths very seriously and hold them in great esteem. If the text used does not suit your needs, you are encouraged to contact them and work out a mutually agreeable oath.

  • We have a banquet permit so you may bring your own alcohol. Please do not give it to anyone under 21 years of age, even your own offspring. Washington State law only permits drinking with parental consent within the private home.
  • Candles must be within an enclosed container, such as a lantern.
  • This site is fully accessible for wheelchairs, there are no stairs.
  • The non-member surcharge of $3 will be collected if was not paid in advance. Please bring proof of your membership if you are a member.

The menu will be posted from the event copy on the Madrone web site soon. All ingredients will be posted on the day of the banquet. Further food questions can be sent to Genot Boulanger.
