:In addition there is a yearly tradition of the Ladies Frying Pan toss.  For this all of the ladies line up and get a chance to throw a frying pan at a watermelon set up to look like a head. The first person to break it is the winner. The competition is also open to men on the condition that they wear women's clothing when doing it.

The Shire holds tournaments to determine the Champions for the areas of Armoured Combat, Rapier, Combat Archery, Archery, Thrown Weapons, A&S and Bardic.
