Vox Leonis was a long-standing heraldic title. It began as the title for the deputy to Black Lion in charge of vocal Heraldry at Crown Tournaments.

At Twelfth Night A.S. XXVIII Vox Leonis was given oversight of all voice heraldry in An Tir, and the duties of the former Electrum (which had been the title for Court Heraldry) and Town Crier were assigned to Vox Leonis.

At May Crown A.S. XXX Löwenmähne (a then unused title) was re-activated as a pursuivant's title to be given charge over tournaments, and Town Crier also came back into use (also as a pursuivant title), both under the supervision of Vox Leonis.

At Twelfth Night AS XXXIV Vox Leonis' duties were restricted to Court.

The court duties are now occasionally filled by a herald named Sable Mountain when Their Majesties are minded to name such. The title Vox Leonis was released by the College of Arms by request of the An Tir College of Heralds in January 2009.
