Description
An annual event held in the Barony of Dragons Laire, Candlemas includes a feast (usually served). Currently Candlemas hosts the Baronial Arts & Sciences Championship, but in the past it has also hosted the Bardic and Rapier Championships.
History
The first Candlemas was conceived as an afternoon midwinter social by the Dragon's Laire Culinary Guild. By the second Candlemas it had morphed into a served feast, and continued to grow from there. For the first several years, it was traditionally autocratted by a member of the Guild, but the autocrat is now chosen by the Barony's usual event bid process.
