I lost my new wool hood/mantle...Now I have to make another one for next year *sigh*
But it was also my boyfriend and I's first trip out with the River Dragons! What a great group! We're so proud to be a part of it :D

Attending this event and watching the war sparked my interest in heavy fighting.  By the following year's Acorn War, I had acquired a suit of armor and was invited to fight for Duke Amalric (His Majesty, at the time).  Huzzah for Acorn War bringing the art of hitting people with sticks into my life!

  • I got to do some blacksmithing with Grendal who made me a wood adz. I used my new bellows to make the fire for the cheese making class (and got to eat some tasty cheese). --IasonVorax

Saturday evening, after Moot, Baron Gawin of Terra Pomaria, Order of the Grey Goose Shaft, asked Lord Andrew Stuibhard and Lord Grimar Orvand to become Acarii under his teaching (this is the equivalent in Archery of a Knight taking on a Squire). Both accepted in a quiet ceremony around the campfire in the Archery Encampment. Afterward we were treated to a wonderful display of the Aurora Borealis. --Arnorr Graybeard, Deputy Warden, Archery Guild

I enjoyed the equestrian display and just the presence of the big beasties. We weathered the rain well and everyone stayed cozy playing games and eating... and eating... Huzzah to our house, visiting friends and neighboring camp mates the Wolf Women! I handed out 17 newcomer packets I made special for Acorn and spoke to some mundanes who were curious and wondered in. --65.212.170.101

I lost my new wool hood/mantle...Now I have to make another one for next year *sigh* But it was also my boyfriend and I's first trip out with the River Dragons! What a great group! We're so proud to be a part of it :D -Elspeth

-José Cabrera de Castilla
