Goals:

Long term: I want to be a Pelican some day. I want to serve my barony and crown. I want to have fun. I want to share what I’ve learned and help the next generation of SCAdians into the fold.

Short term: Spend 2026 prepping to reattempt Sargent Trials in 2027. Attempt to find a Herald Deputy to take over when my warrant ends so I can try and do other things. Work on getting my Household registered.

My Why: My mother was a Pelican in The West Kingdom a very long time ago. She loved the SCA with all of her heart. I was raised at sci-fi conventions instead of SCA events but managed a very strong event planning background that taught me that if I wasn’t contributing, I wasn’t having fun. I have an AAS Degree in Hospitality and Ecotourism with a specialization in Event Planning. My mother died in 2021 but I feel closer to her knowing that like her, I am making friends and sharing my knowledge and skills with a hobby that makes me happy. I also really love helping with events, and making people feel welcome and included. I love that I get to actually use my degree and skills to help make things happen for others, it’s the best feeling in the world.

Skills I actively am Nurturing:

Wordsmithing

Gilding

Poetry

Painting

Fan Creation & History

Event Planning
