The holders of Patents of Arms are considered Peers. They may be subdivided into two categories: Royal Peers, which are those gentles who have held royal rank at least once, and Peers of the Society, who are members of one of the five Great Orders.
Peers of the Society are members of:
- The Order of Chivalry;
- The Order of the Laurel;
- The Order of the Pelican;
- The Order of Defense.
- The Order of the Mark.
