The An Tir Kingdom Arts & Sciences Championship is generally held on the first weekend of March. This event features the competition for the An Tir Kingdom Art & Sciences champion - in which competitors must enter three items for judging that display their knowledge, research and skills, in their chosen area(s) of medieval A&S (excluding the performing arts, which has it's own championship).

Additionally, others may enter their items as single items, in order to display their work, get a taste of the process, and receive feedback on how they are progressing.

As this event involves the selection of a Royal Champion, despite sometimes being relatively small in size, it is a Kingdom level event.

Since XLIV / 2010, the event has been combined with the An Tir Kingdom Bardic Championship, which is an event similar in design, but specifically for the performing arts (song, music, poetry, storytelling, and so on).
