Lionsdale Champions is an exciting event that happens every year in July.

The Shire holds tournaments for the areas of Thrown Weapons, Light Fighting, Heavy Fighting, Archery, and Bardic.

:In addition there is a yearly tradition of the Ladies Frying Pan toss.  For this all of the ladies line up and get a chance to throw a frying pan at a watermelon set up to look like a head.  The first person to break it is the winner.  The competition is also open to men on the condition that they wear women's clothing when doing it.
