If you're putting a list (such as the awards from the OP), the easiest thing to do is to put a colon [:] at the beginning of each line.  This will indent them one indent and act as a hard return at the end of the lineIf you use a space, it makes an ugly box, and if you don't put anything it strings them all together.  --Phelan Tolusmidr 15:03, 11 Jan 2009 (PST)
Feel free to look at my page at Phelan Tolusmiðr.  The first thing you need to do is upload the image, which you have done already.  When you add the image you probably want to make it a thumb, choose a px size (I like 300), a side to display (left, center, right) and the text.  You can look at the first line on mine to see the syntaxI normally rename my photos before I upload them so they have a logical name, and put the blazon under the picture on the Image page.  You can find most of the registered devices and blazons at An Tir Heraldry pageGood luck, and feel free to email me (my email is on my user page) if you have any questions.  Who knows, I might even know the answer.  --Phelan Tolusmidr 14:03, 12 Jan 2009 (PST)\\----\

No worries, it's a steep learning curve at the beginningI started by going to pages I liked and then hit edit just to see how they did it.  I'm trying to add to the Help categories some too.  --Phelan Tolusmidr 11:34, 12 Jan 2009 (PST)

That is how I started. The next thing I want to learn to do is to put the Arms and emblazons on pages of different members of Glymm Mere.  Since David died last month it has spurred me on to get this done. Along with being sentimental, it is a long winter here in northern Maine.  Sancia

Until you can provide facts to back up your edits, please cease editing the Aveloc R&D page. I have it on my watchlist, and will be informed every time you or anyone else makes an edit, and unless you have evidence to validate changing what has been agreed upon to be as neutral a page as possible, I will revert. --Krenn 01:01, 18 Feb 2008 (EST)

Feel free to look at my page at Phelan Tolusmiðr. The first thing you need to do is upload the image, which you have done already. When you add the image you probably want to make it a thumb, choose a px size (I like 300), a side to display (left, center, right) and the text. You can look at the first line on mine to see the syntax. I normally rename my photos before I upload them so they have a logical name, and put the blazon under the picture on the Image page. You can find most of the registered devices and blazons at An Tir Heraldry page. Good luck, and feel free to email me (my email is on my user page) if you have any questions. Who knows, I might even know the answer. --Phelan Tolusmidr 14:03, 12 Jan 2009 (PST)\\----\

I'm having problems getting the syntax correct for resizing and placement of pictures. How do you get the straight line in between words? I like your page. You have a beauiful family. Lyonsmarche...memories...Ilived in Pullman and went to WSU in the mid-seventies. Being a poor college student without a vehicle I use to hitchhike to Moswcow to work at the Rathaus/a pub on Main Street.

The last time I was on the Lewison grade is when we left the Northwest back in the spring of 2000 in our 1985 Ford 250 towing a 28 foot Nomad. When we got to the bottom the brakes and tires were smoking on the truck. Turns out we didn't have any brakes on the RV. Ooops.

The vertical line, on my keyboard at least, is above the \ key. It looks like two smaller lines stacked on top of each other. --Phelan Tolusmidr 09:36, 13 Jan 2009 (PST)
