** This is a weird subject across the SCA. We have an answer that pertains to An Tir only at http://www.antirheralds.org/awards/OP/law.html :
*** 23. The phrase "comes with an Award of Arms" means that the award is equal in precedence to an Award of Arms. The phrase "comes with a Grant of Arms" means that the award is equal in precedence to a Grant of Arms.
*** 23a. The precedence of any award can be changed by Kingdom Law.
*** Kingdom Law overrode the AoA designation, so now Court Baronies are above AoAs, but below Grants. - [[Quentin Martel]]
