Tests of skill to honor the battlefield, Games of skill to honor knowledge and wisdom, The lyrics of the Bard to honor the Poet, All in honor of the God of Gods, Odin.
Stepping out of the mists, a group of warriors stride forth to take up a challenge set forth by the All Father. Odin has set a gauntlet that each will pass through. Only the best of those who complete the challenge will become the Favored of Odin. In his wisdom, Odin has chosen both combat and a gauntlet of challenges that will test the skill of the warriors. The challenges will test each warrior’s prowess in battle and also will test the strength, agility and wisdom of each participant.
Come and join Lionsdale for a weekend of Norse and Celtic games, as old friends and new join Thane Einar and Hleafdige Thora in celebrating the 50th anniversary of Thane Einar’s birth.
On Saturday and Sunday there will be heavy and rapier combat. Saturday night there is a potluck feast followed by a torchlight rapier tourney and a bardic competition. On Sunday there is both archery and thrown weapons tourneys. Throughout the weekend there will be Norse and Celtic games (spear throw, stone throw, sheep toss, etc.).
All of this is taking place on the weekend of September 21st-23rd.
Site fees: Adults - $15 (plus $4 for nonmembers) Ages 13-18 - $7, Kids under 12 free ($40 family cap + NMS)

Site:. No wood fires. Propane fire rings and BBQ briquettes are allowed There is a potable water source (hose) on site but bringing your own water is recommended The site is discretely wet so all alcoholic beverages in period containers only please Regular An Tir leash laws are in effect. (Please note: coyotes have been seen on farm before. Leash laws apply to both ends of the leash.). Smoking in encampments only (Make sure all “butts” are disposed of properly in a fireproof container) The site is part of a working dairy farm, please be respectful of all site rules, thank you.

FROM THE US: make your best way to Aldergrove Border crossing, Left on 0 Ave, drive 2 miles, turn right at SCA signs or red barns, drive past the barns to the left to site.
From Truck crossing, right on 0 Ave, drive approx. 12 miles, left at SCA signs or red barns, drive past the barns to the left to site.
FROM COAST: Take Hwy #1 east, at exit 73 follow 264th St (Hwy 13) south, go 8 miles and right on 0 Ave, right at SCA signs or red barns, drive past the barns to the left to site.
FROM INLAND: Take Hwy #1 west, at exit 73 follow 264th St (Hwy 13) south, go 8 miles and right on 0 Ave, right at SCA signs or red barns, drive past the barns to the left to site.
