A companion event to Golden Swan, Scholars of St. Thomas Aquinas is a persona development challenge for male personas.

Started in XLI/2006, Scholars of St. Thomas Aquinas is open to all male personas from throughout the known world between 450 and 1650 A.D. Each Candidate is tested on his ability to create and project an authentic and logical historically based persona in ten of the thirteen categories listed below. Candidates must enter the seven required categories and three of the six optional categories.

Required Categories:

  1. PERSONA CREATION
  2. CALLIGRAPHY/CORRESPONDENCE
  3. COSTUMING
  4. DAILY LIFE/LIVELIHOOD
  5. HANDCRAFT
  6. SKILLS/SCHOLARLY PURSUITS
  7. COURTESY AND ETIQUETTE

Optional Categories:

  • DANCING
  • GAMES AND PASTIMES
  • BARDIC/PERFORMANCE
  • FOOD
  • HABITAT
  • SURVIVAL TECHNIQUES
