In June of 1982, the name of Vulcanfeldt was registered, and in July 1990 a device was registered.  In February 1997, the device was changed and the following device associated with Vulcanfeldt was registered, which better defined the agriculture area of Yakima  County: ''Argent, an apples gules within a laurel wreath vert a chief wavy azure.''

The Barony of Vulcanfeldt (Yakima, Yakima County, WA) is located in the central region of An Tir.

Vulcanfeldt proudly claims the City of Yakima (Yakima, Washington) and its environs (Yakima County) as its own. Our lands stretch from Ellensburg/Cle Elum in the north to Grandview in the south, Tampico in the west to Moxee and beyond in the east. We are located approximately 145 miles southeast of Seattle, Washington; 200 miles southwest of Spokane, Washington; and 185 miles northeast of Portland, Oregon.

Awards

Award of the Alerion is a first level service award given for dedication and service to the Barony. Specifically, for selfless, diligent and unfailing service.

Order of the Eagle's Ascension is a second level award given for long-term and outstanding service to the Barony. Members of this order are important contributors to the Barony. Specifically, they provide continual service out of love and concern for the whole, and not for advancement of themselves.

Gilded Quill Award is a first level award given for achievement in the Arts and Sciences to those who have shown advancement of knowledge in the Arts and Sciences.

Order of Vulcan's Flame is a second level award given for outstanding achievement in the Arts and Sciences in the Barony. Members of this order are proficient in several disciplines and are committed to sharing their skills and knowledge. Their workmanship has enriched our lives at home and has advanced the reputation of out Barony.

Le Petit Poisson Award (French- The Little Fish) is an award given to children under the age of 16 for service to the Barony. Our youth are the lifeblood and the future of our Society. They permit us all to remember the energy and promise of earlier times and provide us with the inspiration to keep going.

The Baron's Favor is a token or favor given out by the Baron for personal service. The Baroness's Favor is a token or favor given out by the Baroness for personal service.

Order of the Argent Owl is given once a year at the annual Yule Feast to an individual who is the best embodiment of the spirit of Vulkanfeldt. This individual is a well-rounded person who is active in many areas of the SCA and the Barony. They are those of great virtue, deeds, and who believe with all their heart that although this is a game we play, it deserves our best.
