OK, it's fixed. Go look at the branch category now and you will see. Basically, to make Rivers Region a subcat, you needed to have a page that was in the Rivers Region category -- I used [[Terra Pomaria]], and put <nowiki>[[Category: Rivers Region]]</nowiki>. Then that category linked to a new Rivers Region cat page. I took the text out of the old RR page and put it in the  RR cat page. Then on the RR cat page, I added <nowiki>[[Category: Branch]]</nowiki>. It automagically put everything in the right place. Categories are a little confusing to set up on Wikis at first, I think -- you have to set them up bottom-up instead of top-down like you'd expect. :Great, thanks again!  As you noted before, I listed it as "Rivers" instead of "Rivers Region" to try to match the format of the other branches listed.  It would likely be more confusing as "Rivers" solo though due to its possible association with waterways of An Tir.  I know there were many other branches that were in Rivers Region that should eventually be articles within it, without checking refers / old maps I don't know for sure which they were.  I believe the farthest northern boarder was River's Bend, the farthest south Coeur du Val. I don't know either, but if someone has a document listing which regions the branches were in, I will help to add them all to the right category. Maybe I'll see if I can find one on the Web. Cheers. :D [[User:Wenyeva|Wenyeva atte grene]] 00:28, 1 Dec 2005 (EST)

Rivers Region

Hello, I hope I didn't cause a problem by changing Rivers to Rivers Region? (Maybe I should make it Rivers (Region) instead?) I explained why I did it on Talk:Rivers Region. It just seemed to be problematic having the page be titled simply "Rivers"... there are lots of Rivers in An Tir, but only one Rivers Region. :) Anyway, I saw that you blanked the page, so now I'm worried I might have caused a problem. Please let me know. Thanks! Wenyeva atte grene 23:46, 30 Nov 2005 (EST)

Also, if you are just looking for a place to test changes (which it looks like you're doing here), you can make a Sandbox page for yourself that you can do all your testing on. :) Just go to User:Jeanjacqueslavigne/Sandbox and you'll see a new page you can edit and mess around with. HELP! My user name / SCA name is now listed as a branch of An tir - I don't know how to remove it - that's what I'm trying to do.

I think I can fix this. Let me go look at it. It's because you put the Category link on your Talk page or User page. :) Wenyeva atte grene 23:53, 30 Nov 2005 (EST)
Ah, I think you fixed it already. :) Wenyeva atte grene 23:54, 30 Nov 2005 (EST)

Thank you so much - its gone, I guess I fixed it? Whew! What I was trying to do was put "Rivers" or "Rivers Region" as a subcategory of the An Tir Branches like Summits, Avacal, etc. Don't you think that is where its suppose to go? As you can tell, I'm new to this, I do have the basics down for editing, creating new pages has been a little more challenging.

Yes, it should appear on the branches page... I think if you just put [[Category: Branch]] on the Rivers Region page, that would do the trick... then it will automatically appear on that category page. I'll do it if you like. By the way, if you want to sign your name and date automatically to your Talk posts, just type ~~~~ at the end of each post. :) Wenyeva atte grene 00:04, 1 Dec 2005 (EST)

Oh, I see, you wanted it not as a Branch but as a sub-cat. Well, let me look at it again. Wenyeva atte grene 00:06, 1 Dec 2005 (EST)

You've got it! Rivers is now defunct but *was* a region when regions were recognized. It was around over 10 years and therefore is a part of An Tir's history. I am the former Hazel Leaf Pursuivant of Terra Pomaria and have been Grete Boke Minister since 2002. I have a lot of resources I can obtain information for this site for my area, as I get a knack for this. Jeanjacqueslavigne 00:12, 1 Dec 2005 (EST)
