The Blue, White and Gold

Baronial Song of the Barony of Wastekeep
By Crokehorne & Goodhearth

What is this oasis that on the desert glows,
Like a jewel upon the wasteland, where a mighty river flows?
The rising sun a'glistening shows the banner from the hold,
Hail, can you see it? Tis the Blue and White and Gold!

Here the heathens gathered in a huge forbidding band,
But a company of fighters rose and swept them from the land.
Midst blood and strife and sorrow, there fell some valiant souls
But still upon the morrow stood the Blue and White and Gold!

See the men come riding forth, so proud and tall and fair.
They fight for the honor of the ladies biding there.
See them on the battlefield; they strive gallant and hold,
Beware, for they carry the Blue and White and Gold!

Come hither, weary travelers, and find a place of ease!
This gentle court good welcome bids, and all men dwell in peace.
Here lords and ladies such kindly grace uphold
As will do great honor to the Blue and White and Gold!

Let the horns sound till they echo in the land!
We'll drink a toast to Wastekeep, she's the fairest in the land!
On the battlements fly proudly that banner brave men hold,
Sound a cheer full loudly for the Blue and White and Gold!

Tell the story proudly and tell it Kingdom wide!
Tell again of the mighty men who battle on our side!
Let every foeman fear us! Let every army know,
We fight for the glory of the Blue and White and Gold.
