Teleri nic Jonathon

Teleri was my "twin sister". When Roger took over editing the Crier, she was a regular part of his staff; she did most of the typing in. She and her husband Daffyd were frequent visitors to the abbey, although they were less often seen at events than at work on the Crier. Her playful humor was delightful; her gentle courtesy and her moral clarity in difficult situations were inspiring.

After three years of illness, Teleri was taken from us by the White Death (cancer) in January AS XXXIIII.

From Sister Guineth

Teleri nic Jonathon, beloved daughter of Jonathon ap Naill and Hilma Knutesdotter, beloved twin sister to Guineth the White, was a gentlewoman who laughed a lot. Her impish sense of humor made her a delight to spend time with. Plump, brown-haired, blue-eyed, smiling, Teleri attended events only occasionally, but she was the primary typist for the Crier during the time that Father Roger of Belden Abbey was editor in chief.

Teleri was practical, hardworking, dependable, cheerful, friendly, generous, intellegent, caring, a good friend, a woman without enemies.

Teleri died of the White Death (cancer), in January of AS XXXIII. She and her husband Daffyd had no children of their bodies, but her niece and nephew were children of her heart.

Guineth left out a little bit about Teleri, so I need to fill you in.

Guineth mentioned that she was a woman without enemies, but that is only partly correct. Around her, you could not have enemies, either, if you disliked a person, she wanted to know why, and then tried to see the problem from their point of view. She helped me to learn that every difference of opinion does not mean that the person is wrong, only their opinions. She disagreed with people, but she loved them, and tried to always find a bridge that they could use to bypass the differences.

And I miss her, she was a wonderful friend, who died a horrid death.

Roger
