An Tir September Crown Tournament was held August 30th through September 1st. It was hosted by the Barony of Madrone at Meadowbrook Farms in North Bend.

Crown Tourney

There were 80 fighters competing in the Crown Tournament held Sunday, August 31st.

The final five combatants were:

In the finals between Sir Ataias ek Paralatae (fighting for Duchess Hlutwige Wolfkiller) and Viscount Vik Vikingsson (fighting for Viscountess Inga the Unfettered), Vik was victorious.

Vik and Inga will be crowned at An Tir's Twelfth Night to be held January 9-11, 2009 in Eugene, OR.

Equestrian Activities

The An Tir Kingdom Equestrian Championship was held Saturday, August 30th. There were 12 riders competing on 11 horses. The course was a head to head competition with two identical courses side by side. The finals were between Thorkell Haraldsson on Blondie and Miranda Faoltiarnaon Cookie, Thorkel was victorious and invested as champion in that evening's court in the equestrian area.

A Noblesse Oblige Tournament was held Sunday, August 31st. There were 12 horses competing on 9 horses. Each competitor brought a prize. The person with the lowest score chose their prize first. Prizes included, hand blown glass, a vinyl version of the Equestrian Warning Sign, a Hungarian saddle, a horse massage, a saddle blanket, and many other fine items. The course included rings, quintain, pigs, javelin, equitation, and ended with a triva question.

Other equestrian activities included: trail rides, jousting training, horse archery, and military drills.

There were 18 horses and 32 riders. The EMIC was Maitress Anne-Marie d'Alleurs.

The Riderless Horse Ceremony was held in the Saturday evening. 7 tassels were added:
