SCA History

Owen Hallehyne plays in the SCA for the wine, the women, and the song. That was until he showed up at an event with a girlfriend, Laryngitis, and the realization that he forgot to stop at the cold beer and wine store back down the highway.

Ownen's hair colour has been known to change from day to day, or sometimes moment to moment if you look away quickly enough.

Owen is squired to Lady Bolverk of Momchilovich, who teaches him how to play with fire.

Persona History

The Dread Pirate Owen, as he would one day grow to be called, was born under a bad sign and in even worse weather. His mother, believing him to be cursed, left Owen at the door of a monestary. The monks, believing him was in collusion with the Beast, traded Owen to a band of roving gypsies for a sack of turnips and two pounds of barley. The roving gypsies, realizing what a a rogue and scoundrel he would be, left Owen in the woods to be raised by wolves. And thus did he recieve a well-rounded education.

Owen's first act of rascallism was picking a blind man's pocket whilest telling a knock-knock joke. He was fined two Pound Sterling for the larceny, and five Pound for the poor taste in comedy.

He next led a band of thieves, murderers and door-to-door merchants to capture one of the King's ships so that he could take to the high seas and begin a life of piracy. They stole onto a ship of the line, beat the crew into unconciousness, hoisted the sails, and began drinking to their success. It was only when the morning sun rose that they realized they had hijacked a ship in drydock. They quietly snuck off the ship and nursed their hangovers for the rest of the day.

Later that year, he won a bar fight in Merekesh by beating seven men to death with the mummified remains of a camel. Owen hid the bodies in the barrels of Turkish vodka the bartender kept in the back. Today this beverage is served every year on that date by the local townsfolk.

One day, Owen came upon a dragon. He was disapointed to learn that it wasn't a dragon, but merely a fallen over tree that looked like a dragon. If it had been a dragon, Owen wrote in his memoirs that he could have ruled the world. History may never know.
