Order of the Shield of the Summits

Order of the Shield of the Summits (formerly The Shield of Chivalry)
Bestowed by the current Summits Consort to that combatant whom they judge to have been most chivalrous during the Coronet Lists. The recipient shall bear the Shield of the Summits and display the favor of the Shield of the Summits. The consort of the recipient shall bear the Baldric of the Shield of the Summits and carry the Most Honourable List of the names of those combatants and consorts who were previously bestowed this great honour. A new member of the Order is selected at each Coronet List and the regalia is passed-on.
Ceremony
As the last pair in the processional, prior to the Invocation of a Summits Coronet List, the bearer and their consort present the Shield of the Summits to the royals, fighters, and other spectators. The bearer then speaks briefly on what the Shield of the Summits represents, and then the bearer and their consort read the names from the Most Honourable List of previous recipients. The regalia is then returned to the Summits Consort.

The Shield of the Summits has be jointly borne 4 times:
In AS30, when Durin Oldenmoor Tjorkilskin and Lawrence of the Marsh along with their consorts Karis Jessica Pursey and Miriam de Xaintrailles respectively were jointly recognized.
In AS47, when Herodocles of Adiantum and Iohannes ap Madoc along with their consorts Vesta Antonia Aurelia and Idonia Sherwood respectively were recognized by Her Highness Telisia Brutusdottir.
In AS48, when Lucius von Bamberg and Cale Heartsblood along with their consorts Ayla Roth and Dawnhella Heartsblood of Briaroak respectively were recognized by Her Highness Jennet MacLachlan of Loch Fyne.
And most recently in AS51, when Vesta Antonia Aurelia and Ziitos Turk, who were each others consort, were jointly recognized by Her Highness Alina of Folkstone

Irregularities
Twice, the Shield of the Summits was not presented after a Coronet list, in September AS34 and September AS42.
During the 2020-2021(AS54-AS56) COVID-19 SCA shutdown, a Coronet list was not held for 2 years so the shield was not presented again until September 18th, AS56.
