Olav Durinson
This gentleman's name has been added to the Scroll of Honor. A tassel was added during the Riderless_Horse_Ceremony in his name at September Crown Tournament XLIII/2008.
I did not know Lord Olav, but felt that he should have something here on his wiki. I hope others who knew him better will add more. For now, here is his MYSPACE page. He certainly was someone I would have enjoyed knowing. [1]

I met Olav when he first moved to An Tir (and Summits) from Meridies. He had a wicked laugh, a fast swordhand and a bone-deep courtesy to the ladies. I saw him intervene when a young lady expressed her discomfort with an overly-familiar admirer. He knew neither of them, but he recognized the sound of distress in her voice. We exchanged messages on MySpace, and he was talking about how happy he was with his new life and how he was thinking of coming back to play in the SCA again. --Vesta 09:07, 9 Jul 2010 (PDT)[[2]]
Lance McBride known to many in the SCA as Olav Durinson was murdered on July 26, 2008. Investigators are still seeking information to aid them in catching his killer.
A memorial fund has been set up to assist the family. If anyone wishes to make a donation simply go into any USBank and tell them you wish to make a donation to the "Lance McBride Memorial Fund".
