Oddr entered the Society in AS XXVI, in what was then the College of Hraesvelgr (now Lyonsmarche), attending a feast in Wealdsmere before his first camping event, Honor War the following spring. True to the heralds of period and to his name of the time, Aodh Deoradhán, meaning "Aodh the Wanderer", he frequently moved, particpating in the Shires of Fire Mountain Keep and (in the West Kingdom) Cloondara, the Barony of Aquaterra, and most recently the Barony of Madrone. He also frequents events in River's Bend.

In AS XXXI, while studying under Fionn Æstel, he was thwacked with the Great Chicken of State and inducted into the Whimsical Order of the Ailing Wit by Grand Puntiff Arwen Lioncourt. Also inducted was the person who would eventually take him as protégé, Anderwyn na Sionain.

Oddr received his Award of Arms from Tiernan and Miranda at September Crown, AS XLV, and has since received several kingdom and baronial awards for service and art, reflecting his work in heraldry.

At Aquaterra's Good Yule, AS XLVII, Elisabeth de Rossignol publically accepted him as apprentice.

He has served as Motley Pursuivant, in a deputy role to the Kingdom submissions Herald, the Lions Blood Herald, charged with reporting heraldic acceptances and returns to the populace before assuming the office himself for a two year term from AS XLVI to XLVIII.

He is currently Black Lion Principal Herald, having spent two years as Demi-Lion Herald Black Lion's contingency and reporting deputy. His role as Motley is on hold during this time, but he otherwise serves as needed by the College. He was also deputy book herald to Nigel Gorges, stepping down July AS LI.

He has taught several classes on the history of armory, as well as classes on the Standards for Evaluation of Names and Armory (SENA), and conflict checking armory.

He has interests in books, maps, astronomy, music, mathematics, rapier combat, target archery and -- naturally -- the history of heralds and the armorial aspects of heraldry. His recent studies are focused on the latter.

He regularly runs a heraldic commentary group from his home in Porte de l'Eau/Madrone.

In addition to a few side heraldry projects at the Kingdom and Laurel level, he's the developer of Aspilogia, a tool for book heralds that runs on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 (search for it in the Windows Store), which enables quick and easy conflict checks and searches without an internet connection.
