Octoberfeast

This is the Barony of Wealdsmere's primary feast event.

It is traditionally held the 3rd Saturday in October

This event includes the “Toys for Tots” effort to donate toys to the USMC-Reserve Toys for Tots Christmas campaign each year.

The Toys for Tots Tournaments are held at this event. The winners are expected to return the following year to run the next tournaments.

Historically site fee has included a donation of a toy, and Entrants to the various tourneys (A&S, Heavy, Rapier, etc) are required to donate one new, unwrapped toy per each entry.

Usually a space is set aside at Head Table for the Marine and a companion to be invited to eat the feast as honored guests.

The feast is traditionally a Period served feast, although there have been non-Period feasts and potlucks in the past. There is usually a Theme, chosen by each Steward Team.

Dancing is also a traditional part of the activities, either before or after the main feast.

Other activities may include classes, merchants and bardic performances.
