Mieczyslaw Czarnecki is a mariner from the port city of Gdansk, in northern Poland.

Mieczyslaw started playing in the SCA in June of 2007, under the name Ryszard, when he happened across the Rivers Bend Defender Tourney and War, in the Shire of Rivers Bend. He continued to play and joined the crew of the Flashing Rapier in August of 2007. He played in Rivers Bend until he moved to the Barony of Glymm Mere in April/May of 2010. He changed his name to Mieczyslaw in 2011 to match his persona better. He was also promoted within the household to captain of his own ship the "Morze Lisa" or "Sea Fox" in 2011.
