As an equestrian, this was a great event. Sir Rapheal and Maitress Anne-Marie went out of their way to create a fun weekend for horse people.  There was a long and fun Challenge Course, dancing with your horse, cavalry drills, a musical carousel contest, a processional led by Queen Angharad, and a Cavalry charge across the field on Sunday morning.

Lionheart's is the traditional summer tourney event for the Barony of Madrone. It is usually held in Father's Day weekend in June.

Lionheart's is also the traditional venue for the Baronial Heavy, Rapier, and Archery championship.

2005

This year the event was held on July 23-24, at the Orting site. The autocrats were Lord Alleyn Edwinson and Her Ladyship Darienne du Navarre.

This year's champions were:

Rapier - Master Balthazar

Archery - Lord Jamie

Other Activities

A play

Port de L'eau's traditional BBQ dinner

Equestrian activities including, dancing, carousel, and challenge course. 14 horses and 20 riders.
