SCA History
Lindis discovered the SCA in 1994, but did not become active in the service area until about 1996. She has been officer, event steward, and advisor on local, principality, and kingdom levels. In her nearly 30 years in the society she has had the luxury to travel to other kingdoms, the opportunity to learn from some of the most talented artisans and knights the kingdom has to offer, and has the privilege to understand the strength that comes in the community that is the SCA.
Beginning in 1996 she averaged about 2 hours of service per event (minimum of 4-5 a season). This included anything from working gate, constable, water bearing, etc. She attended 3M council periodically and was heavily involved with the Three Mountains (3M) archery group. AS a 3M archer she helped in creating a permanent backdrop for the range as well as permanent targets and was generally the one to acquire things like hay bails when needed. At all events attended she frequently been used as a problem solver and or sounding board for our autocrat teams by 2006.
Lindis co-ran the Witches Brew that ran for 3-4 seasons. It catered to royalty from day one also making it a policy to fee autocrat staff, volunteers, constable, and coffee all night for staff, etc. That was a joint decision between Lin and her partner in the true spirit of helping out. "We fed gate and constables because they were cold, wet and hungry"... for those with title, she was came from a place of respect to provide a place for them to check out from their position of responsibility.
Lindis has always been known as someone that “does things because they need to be done” because she enjoys it.

Lindis de Aquisgranno's persona is Carolingian 9th Century Frankish from the city if Aachen, in what is now Germany. She is also known to explore Norse culture and wear garb from different regions.
