His Excellency, Sir Godric at September Crown 2007

Godric ap Rhys

Baron Godric ap Rhys was the 6th Baron of Glymm Mere

Sir Godric ap Rhys has been involved and active with the SCA since 1990 and has lived in Glymm Mere for all but the four years he spent in Drachenwald. Godric enjoys heavy tourney fighting, war fighting, archery and building period encampments. Godric is the captain of the Company of Saint Ulrich.

Sir Godric is widely admired for his chivalry on and off the field, and for his great talent as a recruiter of new SCA members. He squired under Sir Richard Fergus Fitzalan, which no doubt contributed to his dedication to chivalry. Godric is also known for his love of archery, and youth archery has been especially emphasized during his service as Baron of Glymm Mere.
