Baroness Francisca de Montoya is a member of the order of the Goutte de Sang and was the Seventh Baroness of Glymm Mere.

Offices/Positions Held

• March 2003-August 2005: Apprentice Chirurgeon for the Barony of Glymm Mere- Kept first aid kit for the barony and made sure it was stocked and updated regularly. Attended to and reported injuries at baronial events and assisted the Kingdom Chirurgeon at Kingdom events

• June 2005-May2007: Deputy Seneschal for the Barony of Glymm Mere- Assisted Baronial Seneschal with reporting, meeting facilitation, dissemination of information and day-to-day business in the branch

• August 2005-September 2006: Warranted Chirurgeon for the Barony of Glymm Mere

• March 2007: Authorized as a Junior Marshal for armored combat- Participated as a marshal for armored combat; volunteered as a marshal for local tournaments

• May 2007-May 2010: Seneschal for the Barony of Glymm Mere- Responsible for the day-to-day business of making sure the local branch was in compliance with Kingdom, SCA Corporate, and modern law. Maintained 100% reporting compliance, mediated conflicts, collected and disseminated information, and served as advisor to the Baron and Baroness

• December 2010-July 2015: Baronial Events Deputy- Assisted the Baronial Seneschal with finding and mentoring Stewards for local events. Guided Event Stewards through the bidding, execution and final reporting processes. Also assisted with location scouting

• May 2011-July 2014: Baroness of Glymm Mere- Acted as the Crown’s representative in the branch, created three new baronial awards for service, arts and sciences and children’s martial arts activities while supporting the activities and ideas of the citizens in the branch; submitted award devices to the College of Heralds for all new and existing baronial awards, re-envisioned the Sergeantry trials and added the honor of Lancer to the Sergeantry ranks

• May 2014-September 2015: Kingdom Calendar Deputy- Process Date Reservation Forms and Event Information Forms as submitted by branches in An Tir and post to the online Kingdom Calendar, maintain a database of the information and forward to the Kingdom Chronicler for publication in the Crier

• July 2015-August 2015: Kingdom Events Deputy, Contingency Deputy- Assist Kingdom events team with soliciting and reviewing bids for Kingdom Events. Created a reporting checklist to be used by Event Stewards when reporting to the Kingdom on the progress of their event and working on post-event reporting checklist as well as an event grading system

• August 2015-July 2017: Kingdom Events Deputy- Assist Kingdom Seneschal with soliciting and reviewing bids for Kingdom Events. Make recommendations for acceptance/denial of Kingdom Event bids. Work with Events team to use new Office 365 environment to file current and historical event bids/reports for future reference. Assist with creation of forms for Event Stewards and information to be posted to the Kingdom website in order to assist those wishing to bid Kingdom Events

• January 2016-May 2017: Kingdom Seneschal Contingency Deputy- Assist Kingdom Seneschal with duties related to the office of Seneschal. Take on duties and projects as assigned by the Kingdom Seneschal and/or the Crown while maintaining strict confidentiality

• August 2018-present: Baronial Events Deputy- Assist the Baronial Seneschal with finding and mentoring Stewards for local events. Guide Event Stewards through the bidding, execution and final reporting processes. Also assist with location scouting

• May 2005-May 2008: Lady in Waiting for Baron Wolfgang & Baroness Juliana of Glymm Mere- Attended to Their Excellencies, assisted with their administrative needs and was a confidante/advisor for them

• May 2005-May 2008: Camp Coordinator for the Barony of Glymm Mere- Coordinated the area needs for those wishing to camp as a Baronial group at local and other events. Created a camp map and communicated the Barony’s needs to event coordinators for the main camping area as well as reserving space on the Eric for the Baronial day shade

• May 2005-May 2007: Camp Cook for the Barony of Glymm Mere- Created menus, collected funds and cooked meals for the people of Glymm Mere. Created meals and snacks for Their Excellencies Baron Wolfgang and Baroness Juliana

• December 2015-May 2017: Lady in Waiting for Baron Dunstan and Baroness Aelisia of Glymm Mere- Attend to Their Excellencies, assist with their administrative needs and act as a confidante/advisor for them

Events

• October 2006: Academy de la Renaissance (Ithra), Crash Space Coordinator- Took requests and arranged crash space for attendees and instructors coming to the area for the Ithra event

• December 2007: Glymm Mere Yule Feast, Deputy Event Steward- Assisted with the planning and execution of a very well attended Yule celebration; including helping to cook the feast

• May 2007- September 2010: Event Gate Staff- Staffed gate, counted monies, reconciled funds/gate sheets, submitted paperwork for multiple Baronial events

• March 2008: Spring Celebration, Feast Steward- Created the menu and prepared the feast for the spring event

• October 2008: Norse Winter Nights, Feast Steward- Prepared the feast for a Norse-themed event

• April 2009: Glymm Mere Arts and Sciences Championship, Feast Steward- Prepared Baronial contribution to the potluck feast, coordinated populace contributions, set up and cleaned up

• July 2009: Summer Seafood, Feast Steward- Prepared baronial contribution to the feast and coordinated potluck contributions

• January 2010: An Tir Kingdom 12th Night, Masked Ball Food Steward and Scheduling Coordinator- Assisted the Event Steward schedule and coordinate meeting rooms and activities for the 12th Night coronation event; planned, prepared, and coordinated themed foods for the Friday Night Masked ball

• March 2010: Kingdom Arts & Sciences Championship, Event Steward- Stepped in as Event Steward for the event when the original autocrat had a family emergency

• April 2010: Glymm Mere Serjeantry Trials, Autocrat Class- Taught class regarding bidding, executing, finalizing and reporting on events both local and Kingdom

• June 2010: Honey War, Deputy Event Steward- Assisted the Event Steward with event planning, execution and wrap-up

• September 2010: September Crown, Deputy Event Steward- Acted as the Second-in-Command for the Event Steward and helped with all phases of event planning, execution and final reporting

• December 2010: Yule Feast, Feast Steward- Created the menu and prepared the feast for Yule Feast coming in well under budget and adapting to attendance that was approximately 25 attendees over projection

• September 2011: September Crown Tournament, Event Steward- Bid, planned, executed and finalized a successful Crown Tournament boasting one of the highest attendance numbers in the last few years

• June 2012: Seafarer’s Celebration I, Deputy Event Steward- Acted as the Second-in-Command for the Event Steward and helped with all phases of event planning, execution and final reporting

• January 2013: 20th Anniversary Celebration for Glymm Mere- Facilitated a 20th Anniversary gathering for the Barony at 12th Night, arranged for a hospitality suite, guests and food to celebrate the milestone

• March 2013: 20th Anniversary Revel- Planned and executed a 20th Anniversary Revel for Glymm Mere to take place in the Barony for those who could not attend 12th Night

• September 2013: Seafarer’s Celebration II, Deputy Event Steward- Acted as the Second-in-Command for the Event Steward and helped with all phases of event planning, execution and final reporting

• September 2013: Kingdom Administrative Retreat, Event Steward- Bid, planned and executed the Administrative Retreat for An Tir Seneschals and Exchequers; arranged lodging, schedules and meals for over 80 attendees

• November 2013: Kingdom Feast, Games Room Coordinator- Planned the games room for Kingdom Feast, also suggested and promoted the idea of branch sponsorship of the feast courses

• August 2014: Seafarer’s Celebration III, Deputy Event Steward- Acted as the Second-in-Command for the Event Steward and helped with all phases of event planning, execution and final reporting

• October 2014: Babie leto, Deputy Feast Steward- Acted as second in command in the kitchen for the Russian feast, including planning for food sensitivities

• February 2015: Glymm Mere Performing Arts Collegium, Feast Steward- Created the menu and prepared the feast for the spring event coming in well under budget

• April 2015: Tri-Kingdom Chirurgeon Symposium, Feast Steward- Planned the feast for the event, which was subsequently cancelled

• April 2015: Site Owner Meeting- Facilitated a meeting with Bob Nix, site owner, and the Seneschals of Blatha an Oir, Fire Mountain Keep and Glymm Mere to come up with agreements regarding site use

• May 2015: Mayfaire, Emergency Deputy Feast Steward- Took over cooking of Baronial contribution to, and organization of, potluck feast for the event on site when Event Steward had to leave due to family emergency

• May 2015: May Crown Tournament, Event Staff- Took camp, RV and eric space reservations and created a site map. Also took requests for meeting times and created the event schedule

• June 2015: June Faire, Gate Lead- In charge of staffing gate, parking, crossing guards and accepting pre-registration as well as creating gate sheets for those who pre-registered

• July 2015: Seafarer’s Celebration IV, Deputy Event Steward- Act as the Second-in-Command for the Event Steward, helping with all phases of event planning, execution and final reporting

• September 2015: September Crown, Deputy Event Steward- Act as the Second-in-Command for the Event Steward, helping with all phases of event planning, execution and final reporting

• November 2015: Kingdom Feast, Games Room Coordinator- Planned the games room for Kingdom Feast, also planned a Tavern Night on Friday; the games room was run as a Kingdom Fundraiser and contributed $200 to the Raven Travel Fund

• December 2015: Glymm Mere Yule Feast, Feast Steward- Planning a Spanish Feast for approximately 120 attendees

• March 2016: Kingdom Arts & Sciences/Bardic Championships, Event Steward- Bid, planned and executed the Kingdom Arts and Sciences/Bardic event- acting as liaison between event staff and Royalty as well as Kingdom Officers. Mentored Deputy Event Steward and staff who have not yet participated in Kingdom level event planning

• March 2016: Glymm Mere Newcomers Event, Teaching an Easy Camp Food class and SCA Protocol class

• April 2016: West Coast Culinary Symposium, Cabin Assignment and Class Registration - Assisting with attendee informational packets, track class registration and payment for classes. Creating token style “proof of payment” for classes and assigning cabins for attendees

• August 2016: Seafarer’s Celebration V, Deputy Event Steward- Acting as the Second-in-Command for the Event Steward, assisting with all phases of event planning, execution and final reporting

• September 2016: September Crown Tournament, Site Layout- Assisting Event Steward with site layout and large encampment reservations

• December 2016: Glymm Mere Yule Feast, Feast Steward- Planned a potluck feast and cooked the baronial contribution of the meats for approximately 100 attendees

• April 2017: Glymm Mere Lyceum (A&S/Bardic Championship), Feast Steward- Planned a potluck feast, donated and cooked the baronial contribution of Pomegranate Chicken for approximately 50 attendees
