The company of the sable rose was founded on the concept that pageantry, spectacle, chivalry, & authentic presentations are integral to the recreation of historical tournaments. Furthermore, a consistent ambience of courtly love is intertwined in this presentation of homage to the ladies of the kingdom in a grand company of the SABLE ROSE emprise, & at the Romancing the Rose Rapier tournaments.
They are joined in this endeavor with seven other rose companies in existence throughout the Knowne World. It is their endeavor to encourage the romantic ideals of the medieval times, ever striving to do so by words & deeds.
We do hereby accept the petition and recognize the Company of the Sable Rose, Argent, as a Royal Company of An Tir. We proclaim it by our hands and seal on this fifteenth day of July, anno societatis xli, being 2006 Gregorian
