Traditional Events

These are events that are traditionally held in An Tir and usually held on similar weekends.

Hocktide April - A multi-day event with a challenge course.

September Crown First weekend of September

At September Crown in An Tir, our next King and Queen are determined, and here is where we hold our own equestrian championship. Our inaugural equestrian championship was held in 2005 and the winner was THL Khaidu Naranaimorin riding Titus, a male Trakehner owned by Agelos Evienece.

The Riderless Horse ceremony is held.

Stormgods Late August - Stromgard

Acorn War Mid to late September - Mountain's Edge

Emprise of the Black Lion End of September The Emprise of the Black Lion is an equestrian tournament inspired by the 1460 treatise by René of Anjou. Competitors are known for lavish presentations with full splendor. Each competitor chooses four events out of eight activities: rings, speed quintain, heads at three heights, pigs, crest combat, jousting (balsa or foam). The event often culminates in a feast and dance. On Sunday, a laid-back tournament celebrates the camaraderie of the equestrian community.[[1]]
