Cae Mor
The Shire of Cae Mor is located in the Principality of Tir Righ. Its borders include the areas of Kitimat and Terrace, BC.
History
Founded: November 17 AS 46/2001 Their Majesties, Avaloc and Mahliqa, the fortieth King and Queen of An Tir, attended "Sing for Your Supper", held in the basement of the United Church of Kitimat, on the 17th day of November, AS XXXVI.
When They had been invited They replied that unfortunately it would be impossible for Them to come because it was not within the Kingdom coffers to travel so very far. The people of Cae Mor said, "Nay!" and came together and donated the funds necessary to fly Them up and offered their homes to house the Crown of An Tir and promised to feed Them as well. At hearing this Their Majesties said, "We will come, and gladly!"
Once all were assembled before Them, including the acting seneschal (who had been called in to work), His Majesty called for the populace of the incipient shire to come before Him. "What say you, Lord Tadgg? Are you and the people of this corner of Our realm ready to become a shire?"
"We are Your Majesty." came the reply.
"What say you, the people of this northern land?" said Avaloc.
Now, there were those that had their reservations, and they did have their say. However Their Majesties heard their word, and those of all the rest, and decided that it was true that it was come time for the Shire of Cae Mor (at that time called Bordergate) to come into existence.
Thus it came to pass, and as they say, the rest is history.
