Anasztaszia Bilough Sabone

History

Born in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains in 968 AD, Anasztaszia lánya Gábornak grew up learning to sew, cook and embroider in her father's home. She was married at an early age to a wealthy landowner and friend of her father's, Istvan Sabone. This marriage did not last long and soon she was a widow with lands to call her own, making her independently wealthy. Her Ladyship Anasztaszia Bilough Sabone (Zia) currently resides in the Shire of Ramsgaard and is a member of the Pure Wenching Tarts Society or PWTS. Zia is currently under the protection of a Berber trader called His Lordship Mahir el Zayd, who assists her with the running of her estate. She is known for her love of her hounds, embroidey, sewing and hosting lavish parties and events for both the shire in which she lives and the travellers who visit on festival days. Zia teaches blackwork, costuming, basic embroidery and Eastern European Totem dolls. She is currently working on developing classes for hand stitched clothing and Assissi Embroidery. She has been the Event Steward (Autocrat) and Banquet Steward(Feastocrat) for the Shire of Ramsgaard's Annual Banquet and Tournaments for 2009, a post she has held three times before, as well as being co-Autocrat and co-Feastocrat numerous times for this and other Shire events. Zia was also a member of the Stweard Team for the An Tir Crown held in Ramsgaard in 1995, and the head of the Steward Team for Coronet tournament held in Ramgsaard in 2010(?). Zia has held the position of Chronicler for the Principality of Tir Righ and Editor of the Principality Newsletter. She is currently the Arts and Sciences Minister for the Shire of Ramsgaard, a position she has held twice in the past. Zia has also held Chronicler, Web Minister, Exchequer and Herald positionsfor the Shire over the years. Zia is a Journeyman in the Embroiders and Embellishers' Sub-Guild.
