- First Egil Skallagrimsson Memorial Tourney held in Adiantum, at Armitage Park. There was a lunar eclipse and a roast suckling pig. Tourney prize was a silver mounted drinking horn made by Thorgeirr Eikenskjaldi, won by Sir Stephen McEanreig.
