Reign History
One of my favourite moments of this reign came right at the end.
His Highness Alden spoke of reigns ending and moving on, but Her Highness Katherine interrupted him. It seems that she rather liked being Princess, and she was thereby invoking her prerogative and proclaiming herself as Tir Righ's Princess For Life.
This did not seem to sit well with His Highness, who by all appearances really wanted to step down. He tried reasoning with her, but there was no persuading her from this drastic change of procedure. Being a man of action, the Prince took the only legitimate recourse available to him; he borrowed a blade from his guard and stabbed the Princess to death.
There she lay, blood pooling on the floor, as court continued. Many had to step over her before the King called for her unfortunate body to be removed.
Later that evening, her reanimated corpse shuffled into court, to be posthumously recognised as Viscountess of Tir Righ. --Hnefatafl
