   Rainy with a pleasant pause for Court, leading to sunny breaks in the evening and sunday.

Event Highlights The Official Presentation to the Newly Created Shire of Ravensley was most definately the largest highlight of the event, which was also one of the first things that happen'd on the 9th. The presentation was given at the end of a court in which Lady Freydis, and Lord Valentine were both given an Award of Arms, and Her Ladyship Meredith of the White Cliffs was entered into the Order of the Silver Pillar of Tir Righ.

During the Day, A Hand Kissing Contest had many ladies interested in just who was participating. Certain individuals were also including an extra bribe of chocolate sweetness with their kisses, while others were relying on sheer skill and talent to win, or verily, enjoyed the contest so much they forgot they were competing. The duration of this contest led to several requested repeats, as the contest was not to be over until Sunday Audiences where the winner would be announced.

A Heavy Combat Tournament was held, and in an almost forgotten moment, Hartwood fielded half the participating fighters. Ari the Butcher slaughter'd his way to second place, yeilding the winning place to Prince Kheron Azov.

Arts and Science Awards were given before feast, And young Caia won the children's competition, While Lady Maria of Hartwood won the Adults competion, displaying "what Hartwood means to her" in a tablet woven belt of many strands.

The Potluck Feast was fantastic, and included spare ribs, fish, assorted breads, and delicious fruits and veggies. Towards the end of the Feast, An Auction was held, and many fantastic items were displayed, described and desired by all. Including several Non-auction items, like his Lordship Eideard of Oronsay. All in all, it was an entertaining auction, and also an enjoyable prelude to The Bardic Candle.

The Bardic Candle (err... Candles) had everyone around the candle to hear the competitors include an assortment of odd words into some thoroughly enjoyable stories and songs. as the Competition ended, more voices joined the fray, and songs were sung, others were butchered, and everyone enjoyed themselves.

The Next Morning, Our Beloved Seneschal (my favorite seneschal) Maria of Hartwood held an audience, Announced the Hand Kissing Contest winner, Lord Alejandro by a bribe of chocolate, Announced m'lady Dillen as a Chirugeon's Apprentice, and Awarded Stag Tag XXVI to Lord Valentine, who showed his appreciation by singing the "I'm a Fighter" song.

All in all it was a fantastic event, with many interesting moments. A bash of A Bash, if ever there was a bash to be remembered.
